Haha. So! Out of curiosity, I decided to click on the link for the 2009 horoscopes... I found it rather amusing, actually.

Gemini Horoscope according to the MSN thing:
You're known for having a sharp mind, a keen intellect, and a fantastic imagination, and it will be fertile, prolific, and colorful for most of the year. Venus and Neptune, both planets of the arts, are in Aquarius, trining your Sun Sign at the beginning of the year. You might create your masterpieces in the time-honored way, but for at least some of the time, you might choose to work on a computer. In fact, if you're not careful, your friends and family might have a difficult time enticing you to leave that computer. If you're in the throes of inspiration, keep at it, but if you've run out of energy, don't force the issue. Go with them.
Tehee. The computer thing is rather amusing, seeing as I spend most of my time on it anyways. I haven't been spending as much time on it the last few weeks though, so that's good. :) My pile of library books is slowly dwindling. XD

Um, that's about it, I think... I don't really have very many resolutions at all. One is to get a cell phone, and the other is to go and visit some out-of-state friends. Maybe I'll add a "balance time between computer and non-computer" as well.

I know a few of you have role played in the past, and I also know that some of you have been wanting to do it again. Well, I've just started one on the PPT Forum, and I hope to get more people to join it. It should be lots of fun. ^__^ It's a fantasy-RP... my usual. lol

I'm also going to start up another in a few days, so if this doesn't interest you, keep an eye out in the Role Play board. :)

...ugh. my day has not been good at all.

First, I went to work last night, stayed for about an hour because my dad drops me off early so he can get to work on time. On the way there, we were pulled over by a cop, for speeding because the speedometer doesn't work. Luckily, no ticket.

So my time comes to go in, and because I'm not on the schedule so I go and ask the TA if there is anywhere else they need me. He said that they had over-scheduled today (because there are two lines shut down) and I could go home. The thing is? They had at least two people who were working doubles. Why not let them go home instead? Especially because I know one of them had to work a double as well!

So mom comes and picks me up, and guess what? WE GET PULLED OVER AGAIN. Different cop, I think, but still. And on her way there, so saw two other people pulled over. So at least four people were pulled over last night, probably for minor reasons like both of the times mine were. >_<

And then I had nightmares when I slept.

And guess what? I got a call today.

I was just fired from where I work for "not meeting performance expectations." The thing is? The TA talked to me two days ago, and told me he'd do another evaluation on me because the one he was asking about had been taken A WEEK OR SO AFTER I HAD JOINED. I had never been spoken to about it, and I know that I've improved since then.

I need to go into the place that hired me, and I'm going to tell their representative there that and see if she can ask about it. Because that is seriously not right.

UUUUGGGHH.

Hmm, my first real entry in months, if you don't count my wonderful icon post. I suppose I should update you a little about what's going on. (I think I have given up hope of ever writing that Lake Powell entry... lol).

So on Friday, I went to Lagoon. My third time this year... lol. It was mom's work day, so the lines were very short and I was able to ride all the rides I wanted to ride. :) I had a very nice trip! Except for one thing. I rode on one of the roller coasters, the Colossus, twice. And guess what? Both times it got STUCK AT THE VERY TOP. And I waited hours inbetween rides, too. Not very fun. D:

Also! My mom won a prize. :D She chose a 4gig Sony Walkman mp3 player. She gave it to me, because she hadn't given me a graduation present yet. So goodbye, Cordof, my little iPod Shuffle. You have served me well. Hopefully you will enjoy your new home with my sister, who honestly doesn't deserve you. (Seriously, saying she didn't want Cordof because he didn't have a screen and then once she finally accepted him, saying she wanted new headphones?! That is very rude. =( And believe me, I'm not stating things to the extent they were...). And also, I'm sorry she gave you such a horrible name. I mean, Lina's iPod? Srsly?! Even Jake gave his iPod a real name, Cowboy! Lina's iPod has no irony. :( (Cordof means apple in Elvish. And iPods are made by Apple. ;D)

Anyways, onto my new Walkman. I've decided to name him Tony, so he'll be Tony the Sony. I meant it to be a temporary name, but I'm growing to like it more and more. I think it makes him sound mafia-ish or something. :o I'm liking him a lot. =D I can do a lot more things with him than I could with Cordof -- I can download pictures and videos as well as music. Also, he can play the radio! Well, FM stations only, but Jake's iPod can't do that without getting an accessory. I think that's pretty cool. :D Also, the fact that he is 4gigs instead of 1gig is a major plus. =D The headphones are a little bit weird to get used to, though. They have to go behind your head. o_O I'll probably get used to it soon though.

I do, however, have a problem with him. He only gets music from Windows Media Player, but most of the music I have is on iTunes. D: I've found a way to convert the iTunes music to be playable on WMP, but WMP doesn't want to add the music to its playlist so I can't even do that. T_T I'll probably have to go get a rewriteable CD-Rom, and bring the music over manually. =/ Luckily, WMP has some of the music we downloaded before getting iPods and also the ones we bought online through Amazon. So I have a lot of the music I like... I'm just missing a lot of it as well.

Hmm, I'd also like to figure out how/where to download videos for free. Or TV shows or something, lol.

I should probably end this now. *podders off*

Yay! I finally got an animated icon from Steven. Isn't it wonderful? :D:D I have the feeling it shall be used many times in the future. <3 That is, if I ever get around to writing in my LJ more. I notice I haven't done it for quite awhile! I'll have to post about something soon. Probably my trip to Lake Powell, as I meant to do that as soon as I got back and still haven't done it... but either way, it will have to wait until morning. :D

My brother works at a TV repair shop, but he doesn't necessarily get paid. However, recently a man gave a perfectly good 57" plasma screen TV to the shop (because he thought there were green spots and demanded a refund). So everyone looked, and... the only green that is there is the green that is meant to be. :O So Jacob's boss let us have it. :D So yay, a lovely new TV. <3 Our old one was starting to give people purple faces, lol.

That meant some shuffling around of TVs. My sister wanted Jake's old one and he didn't want any of the others we had, so I figured I might as well take it, haha. However, I'm away from my room for a few hours, and when I return, I look up and see the TV on a shelf that is above my desk.

This makes me nervous. XD If there is an earthquake, it will land on my head. DX I'll have to clear the space I wanted it to be put and ask Jacob to move it for me sometime tomorrow, if I can find the time. It's too high for me to get, otherwise I'd get it myself. XD

I had a really nice day at school today. :D

In Drama, we are reading the children's books. Two of my friends did really well on theirs in my opinion. I think I did really well with mine, too. ^^ I read The Runaway Bunny and Goodnight Moon, and one of my other friends read Goodnight Opus, so even though we hadn't really planned it together it turned really well. :D If you haven't read Goodnight Opus, I suggest you do -- It is a departed from text version of Goodnight Moon and oh so funny. <3

In Spanish, I don't think the teacher graded the test we took last Friday. :D That is good because I don't think I would have done very well on it. >_< So him not grading it will keep me at the same grade, haha.

Finally, in British Lit (My fifth hour class), one of the girls came in and was all, "I was checking my grades last night, and I was wondering why there was an assignment called Krystal Miller?!" XD Insanely hilarious. Obviously the teacher's aide either thinks I am very important, or not important enough, or something... o_O But here, I took a screenshot! :D It'll be easier to see if I just link it, so here goes: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v371/Amdir_Mallorn/assignment.jpg

Kuri wanted me to do this, so here goes. :D Some of the answers fit, so I just stole them from her. :P Oh, and right after I shall be typing a real update. ^^

For Drama we're going to read a children's story to the class! I'm very excited, it should be loads of fun. :) However, I need some suggestions of good ones that when read aloud will take about 3-5 minutes long? It can be a little longer, but no more than 7 minutes probably. I'll be going to the library Saturday so I can look for ones I like there, but I'd also like to see what other people have enjoyed. :)

It was the family Christmas party tonight! The food was very good. We had tortillas. <3 The cousin that goes to my school challenged my brother to a pool match, but evidently my cousin thought it took to long so he passed the game off to his brother halfway through the game. Wimp! lol

I got a $5 gift card for Borders. :D Yay books! I'm going to look online later to get an idea of what I want to get. In my grandmother's Christmas bag, I also got a pingpong paddle with the ball thing, gloves and socks, chocolates, a candy cane, and a snowman sucker. They are all very cute! I love the Christmas bag. <3

It was an apron Christmas this year. XD My mom got Granny a reversible apron for Christmas, and my granny got my uncles and their wives aprons and other cooking gear. It was hilarious. XD Especially because one of the aunts gave out cooking gear as well, lol.

When we were leaving the party, my cousins asked me to go with them to the mall. :D So here is the rendition I told one of my friends over AIM. However I've taken out all the boring names, etc ;D. So apologies for the various, "So we..."'s and the disjointedness of the whole thing. It's kinda in a present tense. o_O

Haha, I love my cousins. I have so much fun with them. :D

When my brother and I were younger, we used to believe we were meant to be Santa's Elves. Every year we would be walking along, and suddenly out of nowhere we would go:

"Hey Jake! Check my ears. I think they are pointier this year!"
"Yes, mine too! Maybe we'll be Santa's Elves this year."

Or something similar. I can't remember it exactly, but it was something about our ears getting pointer every year and Santa's Elves.

Thinking back on it, it was a rather amusing childhood wish, but...

OMG Christmas Elves!

...I will grow up and be a Christmas Elf. :D:D

Let me explain the problem about the school lunch lines. Cutting. It's sad when you get in line a minute or two before the bell rings to dismiss classes for lunch, when the line is still short, and don't get to the food until ten, fifteen minutes later (and the lunch hour is only about half an hour). Or, you can be in line, start reading when the line is STRAIGHT and when you look up a page later, you are SURROUNDED by ten people on each side.

While I have a whole bunch of things I could rant about, that's not the point of this entry today. :D It is to tell you that I had a nightmare about the lunch line last night and soon after I woke up I realized how amusing it was. XD I can't really remember it, but it involved two guys pushing me very hard to the front of the line, and the vice-principal (who used to be one of my teachers) serving the food instead of the lunch ladies, losing my friends and not knowing where they went, then having to get back in the line because I lost my food. (o_O?)

Yes. Very odd.

In my second hour, they finally got the new surround sound system set up. The teacher was having way too much fun with it. XD He doesn't like the mic being around his neck, but he doesn't mind holding it, so while we were singing the christmas songs he would walk up and put it near the quieter (or in some cases, louder) peoples' mouths. And when we came into the room, it was quoting Shrek (Seriously, this teacher has a major thing for Shrek. He will always be talking like Puss in Boots -- Gato en botas! -- or the Gingerbread Man). He loves the surround sound but doesn't really like having to have the microphone, but he has to keep it with him because it has a GPS or something on it. So my reasoning is: If they have a tracking device, it is perfectly logical they have a recording device as well! I can imagine the faces of whoever would be listening to it -- "...what the crud?! Gato en botas?!"

Grr, my arm hurts. >_< Because I didn't use it for so long, the flexibility is limited so the physical therapist is having me do some exercises that will help me regain full flexibility, but they hurt a lot after I'm done with them. D: And my head cannot decide whether it is hurting or itching. One night it woke me up because it was itching. >_<

School is going well. I am loving drama class, the games and stuff we play are very fun and I am learning quite a lot. There is one girl in there though who keeps asking me for paper, and I am a paper hoarder. XD And my cousin is very inventive. And odd. o_o I'm learning a lot about him! haha

In Spanish, my team actually won a game -- first place. :D:D I think we're still last place over all though. =/ We're singing Christmas songs in there and it is fun but confusing. When you have been singing songs in English all your life and then have to sing them in another language, where the translation isn't even exactly the same, it is very confusing and you have to think, haha. A lot of times though when we have games, I feel terrible after the class. I think it's because a lot of the games have to do with writing and raising things up, and because I write faster with my right hand I do it with that, but I can't do the actual raising as quickly because I can't move my right arm too quickly or it hurts. =/ Or when he has us write on the board, I have to get up super close the board. D:

Third period -- human development -- is interesting, but we aren't moving very quickly. I think that is because people are always asking the teacher questions and so she stays on the same subject until we're satisfied. XD

Fourth period, Food Prep, should be a required course. It really should. For one thing, it teaches a lot of things people should know about how to prepare food, like by washing them off, and things to prevent cross contamination, etc. But it also tells how to -read recipes-. Seriously, if you want a recipe to turn out correctly you have to follow directions. >_< I'm ranting because we made fudge for a club I'm in today, and they didn't follow the directions correctly (all I did was stir) so I don't think it will set correctly. Hopefully it will still be good. D:

Fifth hour, British Literature, is hard. D: We had to memorize the first bit of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales in olde english. And it's fun to say but I have the pronunciation all wrong. XD I'm pretty sure I got full credit on the assignment though. Tomorrow we're going to have a huge test and I'm worried I won't remember very much about the history, or the pilgrims of the Canterbury tales. XD

And I don't know what else to say. ^^;

I have the ACT tomorrow. D: Wish me luck, I think I'll need it! On the practice test thing I got an overall score thing (too lazy to look up the actual word) of 25, but hopefully I shall do better tomorrow because I've gone over a lot of the math and stuff that I missed on it, and I will try harder not to make silly mistakes. :P

Although as I was scoring it I was panicking because I was getting NOTHING right on the english part. So I double checked and it turned out I was using the answers for the reading part. o_O;; It's amazing how fast you can feel at an utter low then jump back up to normal once you realize your mistake.

And it snowed today! YAY!

Also, wandering the halls with the rest of your english class while reciting the first 18 lines of canterbury tales is rather amusing. At least, the reactions of students/teachers/random people in the halls is. :D:D

Rawr! The plastic surgeon took a huge chunk of glass out of my head this morning. Now my head HURTS. It hurts more than my arm did, methinks -- of course, that's probably because it's right near my brain! Hopefully I can get to sleep tonight -- it's right where I lay down! I took a picture of the it in the bottle, so I've decided to upload some other pictures I had stored on my camera as well.

Rawr, and I couldn't figure out how to make them look even :(

Okay, so in Drama class today the teacher had us do an activity where one student was blindfolded and their partner led them down to the auditorium and around it for awhile, and then they switched places and the one who had been blind before led the other one back.

So, the boy sitting next to me asked me if I was trustworthy. I said yes. So he said he would be my partner. I asked him if he was sure -- I would be glad to go and ask my cousin or someone else if he didn't think I would be good at it. He still insisted he wanted to be my partner.

So I was blindfolded first. The only reason I had him as my partner at all was because I had total faith in his sisters -- even though he and I are in a club together, we don't know each other all that well. BUT. I still put my faith in him, that he would lead me safely around. I might have peeked a few times, but for the majority of the time I had my eyes closed or was staring into the bandana where the only thing I could see was the ceiling lights.

When it came my turn to lead him?
"There's a step there; be careful going up it."
"Yeah I know, I saw it."
"Careful, you're going to run into a chair."
"I saw it."
"Close your eyes please."
"I don't trust you."
(My cousin walks up, and I ask him if I'm trustworthy. He says yes and tells my partner to close his eyes.)
"I don't trust you."

...Isn't the point of a lot of activities in Drama class to gain trust in your class and in your teammate? I'm sorry, but you weren't doing that. Even though I had no idea how to react to him, -I put my trust in him-. It's the least he could do for me. I think that by not doing the activity as he was supposed to, he made -me- miss out on a huge learning opportunity.

And also? He was the one that chose me. If he didn't trust me, why did he ask me to be his partner? And if it was something I said, perhaps that comment about letting him run into a wall, that's just my sense of humour. He said that same thing to me.

I don't know. I feel I had a lot more to lose if I fell up/down stairs then he did. Unlike me, he had both arms fully useable that he could reach out and catch himself with. Me? I only have one, and not my strong one at that. And even if I did catch myself, I probably would have tried to use both arms to do it anyways and thus had hurt my arm because of the angle/moving it quickly

*headdesk* Before you decide to not trust someone on an activity like that, at least give them the chance to let you run into a wall once or twice without trying to warn you.

Because of the new trimester, I have new classes. :D So I shall tell you about them under a cut, but I have something more important I've been meaning to tell you all for weeks now.

They have caught the guy who caused the accident. :D They charged him the day after thanksgiving so he could spend it with his family. I believe he's been charged for running a red light (?), fleeing from the scene, and causing an accident with a fatality or something.
